- Lack of Time, Overwhelm
Curiosity rarely dies because we consciously reject it. It dies because everything urgent gets there first.
Attention Fortress is a simple practice: create a block of protected time that is unavailable for maintenance, logistics, and digital leakage.
Use it when
- your days feel full but mentally empty
- you keep saying "I’d love to learn that when things calm down"
- your work has become all response and no exploration
AI lens
AI can help reduce setup friction. It can also become one more tab in the fortress wall.
Helpful use
"Give me three ways to explore this topic in 45 minutes."
Risk
Spending your entire curiosity block prompting instead of thinking.

How it works
- Choose one 30 to 60 minute block per week.
- Protect it completely.
- Remove interruptions: phone away, notifications off, unnecessary tabs closed, other people informed.
- Choose one curiosity quest: read, explore, write, investigate, learn.
- When distractions appear, write them down. Do not follow them.
